Meet the Team
All Things Therapy Centre is a fully inclusive therapy service. We offer individual counselling and psychotherapy, family therapy, couples counselling and Speech and Language therapy to any age or ability. We have a range of experiences in different healthcare settings, with different client groups and with various difficulties. We use a range of therapy styles to support individual needs and have significant experience working with neurodiverse clients.

Director, Chartered Psychologist & Psychotherapist
Dr Rachel Casper-White (CPsychol, PhD.)
Rachel is the Director of All Things Therapy. She works predominantly with neurodiversity and young people but enjoys all aspects of therapeutic work including adults and younger children.
Rachel works in a non-directive and child-led way, which allows for different methods, activities, games and talking!
Rachel is a Charted Psychologist and Psychotherapist so she can offer different therapeutic approaches depending on client need. She completed her MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy and her PhD. in researching mental health and therapy for autistic adolescents. Her research has been published in international journals. She is also a lecturer at the University of Leeds on their MA Programme in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
She completed further training in ADI-R, ADOS and DIVA-5 for autism and ADHD Assessments. Rachel is very passionate about neurodiversity, therapy and inclusion.

Associate Family & Couples Therapist
Shirley Phelan
Shirley has 15+ years of experience supporting children, adults, couples and families in various mental health settings. Shirley qualified as a Systemic Therapist in 2005 and has supported hundreds of families over the years with various difficulties.She specialises in Eating Disorders but has experience in a wide range of areas.
By creating a safe and confidential space, Shirley facilitates through a non-blaming and respectful stance, a sharing of problems. Informed by evidence-based practice, working together, Shirley hopes to develop new solutions for clients, building upon their existing resources and strengths, while nurturing new hopeful possibilities for their future.

Associate Play Therapist
Emma Carlin-Marshall
Emma is a PTUK registered Play therapist. She had additional training in Autplay, a neurodiversity affirming framework for play therapy, and Parent and Child attachment play (PCAP). She works in a holistic and integrative way, adapted to meet the needs of individual children and families. Art, therapeutic storytelling, sand and puppets are common aspects of her therapeutic toolkit.

Emma has a background in creative writing, drama and youth work, having previously worked with vulnerable adolescents for many years. Emma currently also works therapeutically with children and families in cluster school settings, a role in which she has been established for nearly a decade.

Emma loves her job and believes in the power of play and creativity to enhance children’s wellbeing. She recognises that life can be challenging at times, and hopes to bring a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to help alleviate children and families’ struggles, whilst drawing on everyone’s inner strengths and wisdom.

Associate Play Therapist
Gillian Murgatroyd
Gillian is a Play and Creative Arts Therapist with additional training in DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and Therapeutic Life Story Work.
She brings a wealth of experience from working privately, as well as with school cluster services, charities such as Victim Support, and families supported by the Adoption Support Fund (ASF).

Gillian’s approach is friendly, gentle, and child-centred. She meets your child where they are and uses their interests creatively to help them process feelings and experiences in a way that feels safe and meaningful.
She is also the author at Emotions at Play - a growing collection of therapeutic storybooks designed to support young children in exploring emotions and life events through play and storytelling.

Outside of work, Gillian enjoys spending time with her family and friends, getting stuck into creative projects, and walking her three little fluffy dogs through the countryside.

Associate Therapist
Laura Clarke-Whiteley
Qualifying with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Laura has spent the past 3 years counselling adults and children of all ages across various settings. She has worked with a range of clients supporting them through grief, trauma, anxiety, insomnia, depression, loneliness and much more!
Laura utilises a person-centred approach, allowing the client to lead the sessions at their own pace and tailoring therapy to them. Before qualifying as a counsellor, Laura gained a degree in performing arts so she is also happy to bring in creative therapeutic techniques!

Laura recognises the importance of creating a strong, authentic and trusting therapeutic relationship and is passionate about celebrating diversity and uniqueness. Her aim is to help others better understand themselves and move forward into a happier life.
Before working as a therapist, Laura had over 16 years experience working with young people within education and extra-curricular settings. This, alongside her own experience of how transformative therapy can be, eventually led her to her therapeutic training!

Associate Senior Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Eloise Smith
Eloise is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist who has joined the team to form part of the Autism assessment pathway. Eloise has 6 years of experience in Autism assessments for both children and adults, within NHS and private settings. Eloise’s NHS experience spans both local community teams and a specialist Social Communication service at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Eloise is passionate about helping others learn more about themselves, and hopes to provide a neuro-affirming diagnostic experience working within All Things Therapy team - where diversity is celebrated!

Eloise also currently works within a Child and Adolescent Complex Mental Health team within the NHS, where she supports young people struggling with a range of mental health conditions, and their families.

Speech & Language Therapist
Caroline Mpiana
Caroline is a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist who has joined the team to form part of the Autism assessment pathway. Caroline has numerous years of experience working within the NHS and now provides consultation, assessments and speech therapy in mainstream primary schools.

Caroline has also completed her ADI-R and ADOS-2 training which informs our assessment process. She has also compelted an It Takes Two to Talk® Certification (Hanen) and is an Elklan Trainer.

Speech & Language Therapist
Claire Mills
Claire is very experienced in working with adults, young people, and children in both the NHS and education settings. This experience ranges from adults with neurological conditions, stroke, and swallowing difficulties, to young people with speech sound disorders, autism, and specific learning difficulties. Her focus is on speech, language, communication, and cognitive changes.
She has a strong focus on combining impairment and functional therapy approaches, focusing on individuals’ strengths, whilst delivering therapy to target their difficulties. She is also passionate about supporting families and training others to generalise therapy outside of therapy sessions.
She also has a special interest in technology based therapy approaches, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
She is HCPC registered and works as a Stroke Specialist SaLT in the NHS. She is passionate about delivering holistic, person centred care.

Speech & Language Therapist
Kate Ellis
Kate is a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist, who has over 16 years experience working within the NHS in clinics, and a range of education settings, including Special Education schools and a Specialist units for Deaf and Autistic pupils.
Kate has predominantly worked with children and young people in the 0-19 age range with a variety of speech, language and communication difficulties, and she specialises in:
· Early language development
· Articulation and speech sound development
· Stammering- all ages, including adults
· Deafness, including cochlear implant
· Developmental Language disorder
· Social Communication
· Autism
· Selective mutism

Kate’s work is child\young person-centred, and involves working both directly and/or indirectly with the child/young person and their family.

Associate Therapist
Suzy Daly
Suzy is a humanistic counsellor who has 11 years experience working with children, young people and adults in a counselling environment. She works with a range of presenting issues including; anxiety, depression and trauma.
Suzy specialises in transitions such as change in education setting, workplace or relationship status, and bereavement providing support across a range of ages.

Suzy provides a space which encompasses warmth, compassion and authenticity, to help promote the client to feel safe and aid them in working towards the changes they want to make. By using a person-centered approach, Suzy fosters trust and collaboration, empowering clients to explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.
Suzy has the ability to hold distress, but also understands that moments of light/laughter within the therapeutic relationship possess healing potential.

Associate Senior Health Psychologist
Dr Yvonne Smith
Yvonne is a Senior Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and British Psychological Society. She is a BPS Associate Fellow and a qualified supervisor.
Yvonne works within the NHS and Private Sector offering comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions.She has been the lead clinician in several Autism and ADHD diagnostic teams, providing and overseeing assessments for the NHS and private clients. In other roles she worked as a Psychologist specialising in neurospychology and neurorehabilitation for people who had suffered neurological events.
Yvonne has undertaken extensive training in Autism / ADHD assessments, with comprehensive experience working with children and adults with neurodevelopmental differences. Her experience includes specific training in administering Autism and ADHD diagnostic tools. Yvonne has significant experience offering neurodiversity assessments that are affirmative and comprehensive as well as providing post-diagnostic support to help clients make sense of assessment conclusions / recommendations in empowering ways.
